This is a graceful Houmongi
with a design of such as 'Sakura'(cherry blossom), 'Ichimatsu'(checkerboard) and 'Karabana'(imaginary flower in China) arabesque on flowing 'Michinaga-dori'(wavy line), which is dyed.
'Shibori'(tie-dye) technique and embroidery work are added to the design partly.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven fine pattern and has soft touch.
It seems to have been retailed. Sleeve part has been longer originally, but it is tailored short now.
The collar is hiro-eri(unfolded collar).
Foils near the sleeve seam are slightly peeling off. (A)
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Although not shown on the figure and the photo, foils of the design are slightly peeling off partly.
If you don't mind the peeling spots, it is still in very good condition to wear.
Please enjoy its graceful design!
