This is an antique Maru obi
around Meiji Period(1868-1912).
It has a 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) pattern, which is woven.
Its colors are chic.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Tare corners are frayed.
It has rather noticeable discoloration on two thirds part of no-stitch edge, as figure shown.
Discoloration such as creases is prominent.
Stitching of edge are coming loose about 2.3in(6cm).
Also, there is a rather noticeable folding line.
Please check detail photos.
It has flaws and doesn't have enough strength to tie.
Therefore, it can't be tied.
