This is a summer sha Fukuro obi
with cute 'Karabana'(imaginary flower in China) pattern, which is woven on the red background.
Gold and silver foil threads are woven in the pattern partly.
The white pattern looks beautiful against the red background.
Textile is transparent sha silk.
It has tears on the both ends.
It has frays on the corners.
The white parts of the pattern are slightly discolored.
It has slight scuffs by fray on the pattern part of the lower Otaiko(square bow).
The snag near the 'Maegara'(front patterned part) seems to just come on the fold.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to such as the tears.
It must be an amazing handicraft material.
