This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of red and white 'kikyou'(balloon flower), which is embroidered.
The embroidered motifs have three-dimensional glossy beauty.
Textile is glossy Shusu silk and has soft and smooth touch.
The 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara will show.
Its length is rather short. 324cm(10'6")
Although it has a large stain (D) on the lower Otaiko(square bow), and the stain (C) on the 'Maegara'(front patterned part), they will be hidden when tied.
It has some other flaws such as discoloration and patinas due to its age overall, and tiny stains.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its retro and cute design of vintage!
