This is a marvelous Houmongi
kimono with a classical design of such as 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'Fuji' (wisteria), 'Sakura'(cherry blossom) ,'Matsu'(pine tree) and 'Ayame'(sweet flag), which is embroidered between the cloud and hazy mist pattern.
Drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through) is gorgeously added on the cloud pattern.
Fine embroidery work and 'kinkoma'(golden outlining embroidery work) are added on the main parts.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven 'Sakura'(cherry blossom) and 'Koji-tsunagi'(jointed letter of I) pattern and has soft touch.
The collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
Colored 'Douura' (upper lining) is attached.
It has slight stains, and relatively prominent on the collar.
The stains on the left front panel are not so noticeable with its pattern.(C)
It has some other flaws such as wear, smudges and slight discoloration.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, it has a few light brown stains near the left cuff.(about 0.20in(5mm))
It seems to be not suitable to wear at formal occasions due to the stains.
Please enjoy its marvelous design.
