This is a Maru obi
from Showa period (1926- 1989).
It has 'sarasa'(chintz) on 'Hishi'(diamond shape) pattern, which is woven.
The pattern woven with gold foil threads looks beautiful on the black background.
Textile is jinken (rayon) and has rather stiff touch.
Its length is rather short. 392cm(12'8")
The snags are tiny, so not disturbing.
It has some other flaws such as slacked stitches (indicated as loosen stitches on the figure) of the edge and folding lines.
