This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with a design of eating flower bird and 'Karabana'(imaginary flower in China) on lattice, which is woven with fukure-ori technique.
The design has three-dimensional look.
Foil threads woven on its base and the design shine elegantly.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Although not shown on the figure and the photo, it has about two molds (approx 2cm(0.7in) in diameter) on the 'Maegara'(front patterned part).
However, if you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), they can be hidden.
Although foil peeling spots caused by fray can be seen on the Otaiko(square bow) and along the folding lines, they will be hidden when tied. (not shown on the figure and the photo)
It has some glossy parts caused by fray on the wrong side. (A)
It has some other flaws such as slight folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Although it has some flaws, it is still in very good condition to wear.
Please enjoy its elegant fashion!
