This is a vintage Maru obi
with 'higaki'(cypress fence), 'Ume'(Plum blossoms), "Tachibana" (Japanese green citrus) and 'sasa' pattern, which is woven.
The woven gold foiled threads elegantly shine.
Textile is silk and jinken (rayon) blend.
The pattern is designed up side down to be tied with hikinuki knot style.
It is relatively short.(13'1"/398cm)
There is discoloration throughout due to its age.(6th photo of flaw photos)
There are frays on the both sides throughout.
There are some spots where are missing woven threads.
There are missing woven gold foiled threads due to fray.
There are tears and loose stitches on 'taresaki'(end of wide part) and 'tesaki'(narrow end).

Unfortunately, it is no longer in wearable condition due to the weaken fabric.
However, it is still charming design which we would like you to enjoy.
