This is a distinctive Houmongi Kimono with colorful flower pattern, which is glamorously dyed by Sansai Saito.
The colorful and dynamic flower is high impact.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
The collar is hiro-eri(unfolded collar).
There are designer's signature and a seal on the right front panel.

There are pale brown signs of wear on the collar which are noticeable due to the pale color background.
(A *It is hard to recognize in the photos.)
The smudges on the both cuffs and shoulders are not that noticeable.
There are very faint stain(D).
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.

Although it's not mentioned on the sheet and photo,
there is a small purple dyestuff above the pattern on the left front panel.
There is a faint brown stain on the right back bodice (near by sleeve seam). It is not that noticeable.
There is slight discoloration on doura(lining of upper body).

If you don't mind those minor flaws, it is still in good condition to wear.

One of the leading kimono designers known for his distinctive sense in beauty of the color and innovative design.
He was influenced by his father who was a dyer, Saisaburo Saito.
Ever since his work was appeared in a popular magazine "the beautiful kimono" in 1965, he came to be taken up by various media such as TV and magazines.
His son, Jotaro, has also succeeded as a kimono designer and works actively at present.
