This is a Tsumugi Houmongi
kimono with classical design on cloud such as 'shippou-tsunagi' (interlocking circles), seasonal flowers and butterfly, which is embroidered with various techniques such as drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through).
The pattern is like a beautiful scenery.
Textile is exquisite Tsumugi
silk and has soft touch.
A label of Yuki Tsumugi
Preservation society remains.
It has basting stitches and seems just been cleaned.
Beside the tiny stains, The color on the left front panel of the outside is relatively slight though not shown on the photo and figure.
The color of the collar on the left front panel is also slight, but it may be caused by dyeing.
