This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a dove motif, which is embroidered with soft colors.
Lovely violet motif is embroidered on Tare end and Maegara( front patterned part).
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It is slightly discolored overall.
Also, there are patinas.
Tare and Tesaki corners are frayed.
There is a stain on triangle part.
Snags of Otaiko are extremely small.
It has a hole on wrong side of Maegara.
There are other flaws such as prominent folding lines.
