This is a graceful Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of tree on mountain, which is woven.
Textile is rather thick silk and has somewhat crisp touch.
It is sewn as "matsuba-shitate" (open Nagoya obi
with tightly folded end of belt part).
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It has stains near Maegara( front patterned part) (B and (A) of the wrong side). However, they seem not to be so prominent when tied positionally.
There is a largish stain on blank part upper Otaiko, but it can be hidden when tied.
It has a small snag on Maegara. (When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), the flaw will show.)
Also, there is a rather prominent folding line.
Please check detail photos.
However, it still can be tied!
This elegant piece will be versatile and will come in use both on formal and casual occasions!
