This is a Tsumugi Nagoya obi
with a design of vibrant flower on horizontal stripe, which is dyed.
Gold glazing is added on the design partly.
Textile is Tsumugi
silk and has nubby and textured touch.
Rather noticeable discoloration can be seen on crease near Maegara( front patterned part), although it is not indicated on the figure. It is prominent when tied. (If you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), it can be hidden.)
Patinas on Otaiko will show and noticeable. However, they may be seen like gold glazing and seem not to be so bothering.
Also, patinas can be seen overall.
There are a couple of other flaws.
