This is a Kaga-Yuzen Kurotomesode
kimono with fabulous 'shou-chiku-bai'( pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) and scrolls pattern, which is dyed.
Cranes, 'Tsubaki'(Camellia) and treasure ships are designed on each scroll.
Textile is silk, and it has soft touch.
It has Hiyoku (additional layer).
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
Kanji character of 'Kotobuki'( longevity ) is woven on lining fabric.
It has five kamon(family crest) dyed out.
There is a signature of the dyer, Noriko Miyamoto, on right front panel.
Whitish stains on right sleeve are not disturbing.
Wear on collar is also very light.
Please see photos for details.
*Background color may seem uneven on photos, but it is actually one tone of color as seen in HTML code*
Although it has some flaws as mentioned, it still is a very gorgeous formal wear!
