This is a Hon-Fukuro Obi with an elegant wave pattern, which is woven.
This piece was woven by Kawashima Weaving Co., one of the most famous obi weavers.
Its gorgeous, yet sophisticated design with glittering gold foil threads is suitable to tie at formal occasions.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
You can see the three lines and 'gunpai'(referee's fan) mark inside tare end, which are the evidence of Kawashima's obi.
It has several snags bottom Otaiko.
There is a stain on the wrong side. (A)
Also, it has rather prominent folding lines.
