This is an elegant Houmongi
kimono with exotic "Karabana"(imaginary Chinese flower) pattern, which is dyed and embroidered.
It has fine drawn works (one of the techniques of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through).
There is pattern only on the bottom of the bodice.
The ombre dyeing brings fantastic atmosphere to it.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
The collar is hiro-eri(unfolded collar).
Its graceful embroidery work is done in Soshu, China. It is one of three major embroidery produce centers in China. It is famous for flat and smooth surface by using very thin silk embroidery thread which is thinner than hair.
There are embroidered name of "Soshu Embroidery" on the right front panel.
*The background color may seem irregular on photos, but it is actually one tone of color as seen in HTML code.*
There are noticeable stains on the front side of right sleeve and the back side of left sleeve.
Unfortunately, it may no longer in wearable condition due to the stains.
There is slight discoloration throughout.
There are some other flaws such as slight signs of wear on the collar, very slight discoloration on doura(lining of upper body).
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
Although it's not mentioned on the sheet, there is a slight, yellowish small stain (0.1"/0.5mm) on the right collar which will be hidden when you wear.
However, it is still elegant design which we would like you to enjoy.
