This is an outstanding Houmongi
Kimono with Tsujigahana
pattern, which is dyed with shibori(tie-dye) technique.
It was dyed by Tetsuya Higuma, one of the most appreciated dyer in our time.
The outlines of Tsujigahana
pattern which look like columns of clouds coming out of horizon is very original.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
The woven gold foiled threads elegantly shine.
The collar is hiro-eri(unfolded collar).
There is a designer's seal on the right front panel.
There are patinas discoloration on the background, smudges on the both cuffs, stains on the the back side of right sleeve.(A, B, C)
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
*The background color may seem irregular on photos, but it is actually one tone of color as seen in HTML code.*
Unfortunately, it may no longer in good enough condition to wear at formal occasions.
However, it is still one of a kind design which we would like you to enjoy.
