This is a graceful Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with mountain and stream design, which is woven.
Textile is rather thick tsuzure silk, and has stiff touch.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
It is sewn as matsuba-shitate and belt part is folded tightly.
There is only one 'maegara' (front patterned part).
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
(A) on otaiko(square bow) is discolored weft yarns.
(They are slight and not noticeable.)
It has some other flaws such as folding lines.
(refer to the 3rd flaws photo)
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
It's still wearable enough in very good condition.
It can be worn at formal occasions to casual outings
by matching suitable obis.
