This is a fabulous vintage Maru obi
with 'Karabana' (imaginary flower in China) and peacock design, which is elaborately embroidered.
The graceful pattern emerges out against the black background.
Textile is 'Shusu'(satin) silk and has smooth touch.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara will show.
It has smudges on both corners.
The embroidery threads are missing on otaiko(square bow) edges and 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
It has some other flaws such as relatively prominent folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Though it has some flaws, it is in very good condition overall.
