This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of 'Tsubaki'(camellia), 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and "Matsu"(pine tree) on fans, which is finely embroidered with glossy threads.
The vivid pattern glows very well on the black background.
Textile is soft and glossy satin silk with woven ivy like plant pattern.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right (Rotate obi clockwise), the maegara will appear.
There are frays on the corners.
There is a snag on the lower 'otaiko'(square bow).
There is a seam on the wrong side of 'tare'(wide end), 7"(18.5cm) from the 'taresaki'(end of wide part).
There is prominent discoloration throughout.
There is a tear on top of the triangle part.
There are loose stitches on the wrong side of the triangle part.
