This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), which is embroidered.
The vivid design looks glamorous on the black background.
Textile is glossy Shusu silk and has smooth touch.
Its length is rather short. 328cm(10'9")
Embroidery threads are missing by frays on one side of Maegara( front patterned part)(When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), the side will show.), although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
Stains of Otaiko and Maegara are small and they seem not to be so bothering when tied.
There are a couple of other flaws such as discoloration of the design (the 4th flaw photo) and folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
It has flaws, but we hope you enjoy its retro design of vintage!
