This is a lovely Houmongi
kimono with tanzaku (strip of paper) , 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'botan'(peony) pattern, which is dyed.
Fine embroidery work is added on parts of the pattern on left front panel.
Textile is silk, and it has soft touch.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
It is discolored throughout, and the ones on left front panel and sleeve seams are prominent. (C)
Wear on collar is blurry, but because of the light base color, it may be noticed.(A)(hard to tell by the photos)
It has some other flaws, such as prominent discoloration on lining of collar and Hakkake 'lower lining' as shown on photos.

Left shoulder line has a few light brown patinas, but not disturbing for wearing. (sorry no photos)
Because of the flaws mentioned, it is no longer suitable for wearing.
It must be an amazing handicraft material!
