This is a vintage Maru obi
with 'Bishamon-kikko' (a kind of kamon with tortoise shell) and dragon on ichimatsu(checkerboard) pattern, which is woven.
The gold foil threads woven in the pattern are shining gracefully.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The length is rather short. 157.48in(400cm)
Lining is not added inside.
Pattern is placed upside down, which is suitable for Hikinuki knot style.
Although not shown on the photo and the sheet, the edges are frayed throughout and woven threads are missing in many places.
The snags ans stains are tiny and not noticeable.
(refer to the 2nd flaws photo)
It has some other flaws such as folding lines throughout and discoloration (No photos).
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to the weak fabric.
Though it has some flaws, please enjoy its retro and graceful design.
