This is a cute vintage Nagoya obi
with 'Botan'(peony), 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and colorful kusudama(flowers ball) of botan(peony) design, which is woven.
The vibrant pattern emerges out against the black background.
Textile is glossy black shusu silk, and has very soft touch.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is only on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It has relatively prominent discoloration overall.
It also has a snag on otaiko(square bow).
The tare corners and the edge on the wrong side are frayed.(A)
It has relatively prominent folding lines.
It has some other flaws such as stains.
