This is an antique Fukusa with 'Takasago' design, which is embroidered elaborately.
'Takasago' is one of the auspicious Noh
story about admiring conjugal love and longevity.
Textile is glossy shusu silk and has smooth touch.
It is from Meiji period (1868-1912).
Fine and profound feeling of its supreme embroidery work is eye-catching!
One tassel is missing.
Threads of the embroidery part are coming loose largely and noticeable.
It has rather large black stains and tiny frays.
