This is a casual Tsuzure opened Nagoya obi
with moon-like 'Karabana' (imaginary flower in China) circle design, which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven on the design are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite thick silk and has smooth touch.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
Real base color is darker than photos.
It has no folding lines and seems to be untied.
Although not shown on the photo and the sheet, it has glossy parts caused by fray near the otaiko(square bow) and 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
They are not so bothering when tied.
The snag on 'Maegara' (front patterned part) can be cut without problems.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Though it has some flaws, it is in very good condition overall.
It can be worn at formal occasions to casual outings
by matching suitable obis.
*Though the photo shows uneven color dyes by the angle of light, actual background color is one color.
