This is a vintage Maru obi
with 'shippou-tsunagi'(jointed four circles), 'shokkou'(octagon and rectangle) 'housouge'(large karabana flower) and diamond on 'seigaiha'(wave) pattern, which are woven.
Wrong side has impressive dragon on fan and 'tsuzumi'(Japanese hand drum) patterns, which are woven.
Gold and silver foil threads woven on the patterns are gorgeously shining.
Textile is Jinken (rayon) and has rather crisp touch.
This is in two ways item since it has kaikiri lines(end mark line) on the both sides.
Discoloration by ages can be seen overall, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
Patinas which can be seen overall are small and seem not to be so bothering. (the 3rd flaw photo)
There are several other flaws such as folding lines and smudges on edges overall.
Please check detail photos.
It has flaws, but we hope you enjoy its retro and glamorous design of vintage!
