This is a Tsumugi Houmongi
kimono with exotic "Karabana"(imaginary Chinese flower) on stream pattern, which is dyed.
There are also traditional pattern such as 'Ume'(Plum blossoms) 'Karakusa'(arabesque), 'tessen'(Ranunculus japonicus thunb) 'Karakusa'(arabesque), 'seigaiha'(wave) and 'Kikkou'(hexagon) with shibori(tie-dye) technique.
The fine embroidery works are applied on the pattern for adding extra gorgeousness to it.
It is a very chic kimono in tranquil color tone.
Textile is rustic soft Tsumugi
silk with knobs of yarns.
Basting stitches remain, so it seems to be after cleaning.
There are small stains in places.
There is slight discoloration on the lining.
