This is an elegant Nagoya obi
with a design of such as 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'Ume'(Plum blossoms), 'Sasa'(bamboo leaves) and 'Kikko' (tortoise shell) on 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ), which is embroidered.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has frays on the embroidered part of Otaiko(square bow), but they are not disturbing when tied.
Stains of 'Maegara'(front patterned part) (indicated as dyestuff on the figure) seem not to be disturbing when tied. However when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), they will be hidden.
It has folding lines (not shown on the photo).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It still can be tied!
Please enjoy its elegant fashion!
