This is a gorgeous vintage Maru obi
with colorful drum pattern, which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven on the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
There are kaikiri lines(end mark line) on both ends.
The pattern is designed up side down to be tied with hikinuki knot style.
It has large loosen stitches on the edge.
It has frays on the corners of Tare end and both edges.
Besides rather prominent discoloration overall, it has small snags and a weaving flaw.
Maybe, this piece was tied in fancy bow.
It has rather prominent folding lines throughout.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
This piece is not suitable to tie, because of loosen stitches and weaken fabric due to its age.
Please enjoy its dynamic design of vintage!
