This is an antique Fukusa with 'Takasago' embroidered design from Meiji period (1868-1912).
'Takasago' is one of the auspicious Noh
story about admiring conjugal love and longevity.
It also has auspicious designs as sunrise on the water surface and flying crane on it.
Fine and profound feeling of its supreme embroidery work is eye-catching!
Textile is glossy shusu silk and has smooth touch.
There are loosing stitches on embroidery, and it also has small holes and tears due to its old age.
However, it is relatively good condition.
