This is a graceful Kurotomesode
made by Chisou, one of the most famous kimono makers in Kyoto.
It has a design of 'Kikko' (tortoise shell), 'Seigaiha'(wave), 'Shou-chiku-bai'(auspicious three motifs - pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) and sailing boat, which is dyed.
Gorgeous gold glazing and embroidery works are added on parts of the design.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The collar is hiro-eri(unfolded collar).
Hiyoku (additional layer) is attached.
There are five kamons dyed out.
There is a signature of Chiso on right front panel.
Wear and patinas on the designed part are slight.
Discoloration is also not so noticeable and it is in very good condition as a whole.
