This is a glamorous Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with an elegant 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) motif, which is woven.
Textile is rather thick silk and has somewhat crisp touch.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
There is not folding lines and it seems to be untied one.
Edge of Otaiko is discolored, but it seems not to be so prominent when tied.
Discoloration (A) of blank part can be hidden when tied.
Also, smudges can be seen on edges overall.
Please check detail photos.
However, it still can be tied!
This elegant piece will be versatile and will come in use both on formal and casual occasions!
