This is a vintage Fukusa with designs of 'kikko ' (tortoise shell), 'matsu'(pine tree) and 'Takasago', which are dyed.
'Takasago' is one of the auspicious Noh
story about admiring conjugal love and longevity.
One flying crane is dyed at the upper left.
Main parts are embroidered.
It has a Kamon motif, which is dyed on the woven 'botan' (peony) pattern background.
Textile is chirimen(crepe) silk and has soft but textured touch.
Tears can be seen in some parts.
Fabric becomes weak and tears will increase.
It is rather prominently discolored overall.
There are other flaws such as stains, dyestuffs and frays.
Please check detail photos.
However, we hope you enjoy its tasteful design of vintage!
