This is a Fukuro obi
with enchanting 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), iris and phoenix
in Michinaga-dori ( shape of segments of Washi papers ) pattern, which is woven.
Sparkling foil threads used in the pattern makes this obi suitable for a formal usage.
Textile is silk, and it has soft touch.
Both ends are closed, but there is no lining inside.
Spots of mold are seen not only on the blank part of the wrong side but also on the main side, but they are too fine and not disturbing. (fourth photo below the drawing image)
Stains near Otaiko pattern will not show when tied.
It has some other flaws as shown on photos.

Due to its old age, it has some flaws, but it is a very charming piece to wear.
