This is a casual tsume-tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of colorful pair pheasants, which is woven on the ivory background.
It is sewn as "matsuba-shitate" (open Nagoya obi
with tightly folded end of belt part).
Silver foil threads woven in the base are gracefully shining.
It has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
Textile is exquisite rather thick silk and has light touch.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
The 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
There is not prominent flaw and it is in excellent condition.
Please enjoy its charming design!
