This is a casual Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of 'Ayame'(sweet flag), 'Kikyo'(Chinese bellflower) and cloud on fan, which is woven.
Gold and silver foil threads woven on the background and design are elegantly shining.
Textile is rather thick silk and has stiff touch.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
It is sewn as "matsuba-shitate" (open Nagoya obi
with tightly folded end of belt part).
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It is in the wooden box.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
Though not indicated, it has slight smudges on 3.54in(9cm) from the tare end.
(It will be hidden somehow when tied.)
The smudges on otaiko(square bow) are not noticeable when tied.
The discoloration is slight and not bothering.
