This is an appealing vintage Uchishiki fabric for Buddhist altar from Edo period(1603-1867) (and might be made from a Kimono).
It has graceful dyed and embroidered design of kiku(chrysanthemum) and ume(Japanese apricot).
Textile is asa(ramie) and has soft touch.
It is lined with cotton, and red hems are made of Tsumugi
There are stains and discoloration due to its old age, and it has frays and loosing stitches on embroidery.
