This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a scenery design, which is finely embroidered on the glossy Shusu background.
Textile is glossy Shusu silk and has soft touch.
The Otaiko part is set upside down, and it's to be tied in 'hikinuki' style.
Maegara( front patterned part) will move over a little and not all parts will show.
Also, the obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara will show.
It has large loose threads on embroidered parts of Otaiko.
There are other flaws such as stains, a small hole, overall frays and slight discoloration.
Also, it has a prominent stain on Maegara.
Please check detail photos.
It has flaws like this, but we hope you enjoy its retro design of vintage!
