This is a vintage Maru obi
with glamorous 'Shou-chiku-bai'( pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) pattern, which is woven with koukechi-ori technique.
The large and dynamic pattern is impressive.
Textile is jinken (rayon), and has rather crisp touch.
Pattern is placed upside down, which is suitable for Hikinuki knot style.
It has stains on the tare end.
Though not indicated, it has wrinkles near the stains and smudges along the wrinkles.
It has discoloration overall.
It has some other flaws such as smudges and frays.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable as the fabric is getting weak.
The wonderful textile could be useful for your handicraft or interior.
