This is a fabulous set of Houmongi and Fukuro obi by Second generation Itchiku Kubota

1 *Houmongi*
This is a graceful Houmongi kimono with flowers design, which is dyed with shibori(tie-dyed) technique.
Woven gold foil threads show the fine flower's design, and it shines in a trick of the light.
This is a luxurious piece ever seen!
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The collar is hiro-eri(unfolded collar).
There are a stamp of the designer's signature on the right front panel.

There is not prominent flaw and it is in excellent condition.
Basting stitches remain and it seems to be unworn or just after cleaning.

2 *Fukuro Obi*
This is an elegant Fukuro obi with magnificent Mt. Fuji with snow design, which is dyed with shibori(tie-dyed) technique.
The same design is woven with gold foil threads and shining in a trick of the light.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
There is a stamp of the designer's signature.

There is not prominent flaw but its length is a little long.

It comes with an extra Obijime with shining gold foil threads woven on the beautiful gradation.

*Actual width of Obi is half the size of 'sleeve to sleeve (2)' in above size chart.

*Second generation Itchiku Kubota
The second generation of the first Itchiku.

Itchiku Kubota
One of the famous dyeing industrial artists for Tsujigahana technique.
When he was at age 20, he was inspired by Tsujigahana technique, and after long years of study,
he revived it by incorporating the old technique with the new one and created his original technique which he named "Itchiku-Tsujigahana".
He receives a high evaluation in abroad for his unique design and deep hue in the pattern.
He was awarded 'Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres' in 1990 and 'Culture Director General Prize' in 1993.
