This is a Sioze Nagoya obi
with Cattleya motifs, which are dyed.
Textile is sioze silk, and it has soft and comfortable smooth touch which is the feature of sioze silk.
It has smudges throughout the edges, and especially noticeable on the tare end although not shown on the photo.
The stains and discoloration will be noticeable when tied.
The stains on 'Maegara' (front patterned part) are prominent.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), the stains will be hidden.
It has some other flaws such as prominent discoloration overall.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It seems to be not suitable to tie due to the prominent discoloration
The wonderful textile could be useful for your handicraft or for kimono dressing practice.
*Though the photo shows uneven color dyes by the angle of light, actual background color is one color.
