This is a Fukuro obi
with 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) on 'kikko ' (tortoise shell) pattern, which is woven.
Its gorgeous, yet sophisticated design with glittering gold foil threads is suitable to tie at formal occasions.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
(Lining is not added inside.)
Its length is rather short. 13'6" (412cm)
Mark of Hattori Weaving Co, one of the famous Nishijin Obi weavers is inside Tare end.
Stains of Otaiko can be hidden when tied.
There are a couple of other flaws such as a folding line and smudges on the line.
Please check detail photos.
It has flaws, but we hope you enjoy tying this piece!
Please enjoy this graceful design from Japanese classical motif.
