This is a sophisticated Fukuro obi
with a design of 'matsu'(pine tree), 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'sasa'(bamboo grass) on 'shikishi'(square paper), which is woven on the foiled background.
'Raden'(design in mother-of-pearl inlay) foils are woven on the design partly.
Its gorgeous, yet sophisticated design with glittering foil threads is suitable to tie at formal occasions.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has a torn sticker-like stain inside Tare end, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture. (It can't be seen when tied.)
Foils of foil threads are peeled off by frays on lots parts of edges. However, they seem not to be so bothering when tied.(It is indicated as vertical stripe mark on the figure. the 2nd flaw photo)
Also, there are a couple of other flaws such as a folding line (*It is indicated as horizontal stripe mark on the figure.).
Please check detail photos.
It has flaws like this, but we hope you enjoy tying this alluring piece!
Please enjoy its elegant fashion!
