This is a solid wine red colored Tsumugi Nagoya obi
by Urano Ryiichi.
Its simple but distinctive nubby texture of warp silk yarns called Tatebushi Tsumugi
is breathtakingly amazing.
This obi by Urano is an irresistible piece to own among all kimono lovers.
Textile is exquisite Tsumugi
silk and has nubby and light touch.
The real base color is darker than photos.
Although not shown on the figure and the photo, it has slight discoloration along the creases of upper and lower Otaiko(square bow).
There are some glosses by fray.(A)
Though not indicated, there is a fray of approx 2cm(0.7in) diameter on around 56cm(22in) from the Tare end.
It will appear on the Otaiko(square bow), but not seem to be disturbing when tied.
