This is a vintage Meisen
Kimono with 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'Botan'(peony) on stream pattern, which is woven with weft ikat technique.
Its vibrant pattern is impressive.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft and smooth touch.
The lining is cotton.
The collar is bachi-eri(folded collar).
The sleeve length is long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
Besides a noticeable stain on the right sleeve, it has slight discoloration and a weaving flaw.
Discoloration of the lining is slight, and patinas can be seen in places although not shown on the figure and the photo.(Patinas can be seen on the outside.)
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Though it has some flaws by ages, we would like you to enjoy this retro and charming design of vintage!
