This is a Tsume-Tsuzure silk bolt for Nagoya obi with lovely deer motifs, which is woven with.
It was woven amazingly with "Tsume Tsuzure" technique. One thread by one thread, elaborately with nails.
It takes incredibly long time to complete. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure silk.
The woven gold foiled threads elegantly shine against the black background.
There are four motifs('otaiko'(square bow), 2 'maegara' (front patterned part), 'tesaki'(narrow end)).
Most of the bolt is solid black.
Textile is exquisite relatively thick silk.

There are mold on it.
There is a snag.
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
It has some old smell.

It seems to be from mid Showa period (1926-1989).
It is very unique and gorgeous design which we would like you to wear as a vintage obi.
