This is a Tsume-Tsuzure silk bolt for Nagoya obi
with lovely deer motifs, which is woven with.
It was woven amazingly with "Tsume Tsuzure" technique. One thread by one thread, elaborately with nails.
It takes incredibly long time to complete. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure
The woven gold foiled threads elegantly shine against the black background.
There are four motifs('otaiko'(square bow), 2 'maegara' (front patterned part), 'tesaki'(narrow end)).
Most of the bolt is solid black.
Textile is exquisite relatively thick silk.
There are mold on it.
There is a snag.

It has some old smell.
It seems to be from mid Showa period (1926-1989).
