This is a Tsume-Tsuzure Fukuro obi
with cloud and 'doukyo'(copper mirror) designs, which are woven.
'Karabana'(imaginary flower in China) motif is woven on doukyo design.
Lots of gold foil threads are woven and they are gorgeously shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has rather crisp touch.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It is rather noticeably discolored overall.
There are prominent stains upper Otaiko, but they can be hidden if this Obi is neatly tied.
Also, it has other flaws such as a slight folding line.
Please check detail photos.
It has a bit of sense of use, but it still can be tied!
Please enjoy its graceful fashion!
