This is an opened Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of 'shokkou'(octagon and rectangle), which is woven.
Circles of 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'botan' (peony) and butterfly are woven on the design.
This appealing design will add extra elegance to your kimono outfit for sure.
Textile is rather thick silk and has somewhat crisp touch.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
Slight horizontal streaky discoloration can be seen near star mark of the 1st line of the figure. (*However, it can be hidden when tied.)
Also, there is a tiny snag.
Please check detail photos.
It has flaws, but we hope you enjoy tying this piece!
This elegant piece will be versatile and will come in use both on formal and casual occasions!
