This is a Houmongi
kimono with elegant Kagome 'basket' and 'kikko'(tortoise shell) 'hanabishi'(flower-diamond) in sideways lines pattern, which is dyed.
Fine embroidery of 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'botan'(peony) are added on Kagome.
Textile is silk, and it has soft touch.
Kagome 'basket' pattern is also woven on fabric.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
Kasane eri (layered collar) is attached.
There is one embroidered kamon(family crest).
Discoloration is not rather noticeable, but light patinas are seen in places.
Stains on right sleeve are faint, but they may be noticed. (C.D)
Discoloration on lining, wear on collar and smudges are very slight.
Please see photos for details.
Because of the stains and patinas, it may be unsuitable as a formal garment.
We still like you to enjoy this charming design!
